Gearstar Performance Transmissions

Can’t speak highly enough about Gearstar. My trans went out on a Saturday and they had one dyno’d and ready for pick up the next Friday. Had my 04 Silverado laid up for only one week! Went with a 4L65E level 3 and it’s absolutely amazing. Huge thanks to Ryan and the Gearstar team for going above and beyond to help me get my truck back on the road. I will not trust any other transmission shop!

The Team of experts at Gearstar Transmissions worked closely with us as we built our 1971 Chevy C10 full custom Truck. They designed & built a 700R4 to match our GM Crate 400HP motor & Moser rear-end gearing to provide us with the perfect balance between competitive Autocross and highway performance. The project took us 5 years to finally complete the build and drive the truck for the first time. After our first test drive we noticed a slight hesitation going into 4th gear Lock Up. A quick call to their Tech Support diagnosed the issue as a small adjustment needed to the Vacuum Lock Up System switch. They promptly sent us a new replacement Vacuum Switch and recommended that we turn the adjustment screw 2 turns counterclockwise. They were correct! That was exactly what we needed to do and the transmission performs awesome and strong! After 5 years of building the truck, Gearstar Tech Support worked closely with us and provided the part and Technical advice we needed. Highly recommended Danny May Cinci Rods & Classics LLC

I purchased a transmission earlier in 2023 and the complete process from quote to purchase and pickup was outstanding! Knowledgeable guys Ryan was a pleasure to deal with and pick up and tour made you feel that the team valued you as a customer, in October I started to install the transmission and I called Ryan for suggestions on trans cooler and he said that I should have received when I picked up transmission, he had one sent out within the hour and in my hands in next day! I found Zack and the crew at Gearstar after a friend suggested using them for a Transmission in my 700HP C10 I had built. 4 years later, I ONLY use Gearstar transmissions on my high horsepower builds because they have yet to fail on me. I routinely abuse these vehicles with massive burnouts, drag racing, off road racing, etc. and the Gearstar units take it all in stride. Customer service is second to none as well. When we needed a fully built transmission in a pinch, Zack got one out to us in CA in 2 days. TWO DAYS!!!!! That transmission is in a 1400hp Rock bouncer that sits on 53" tires and has yet to need a rebuild. Moral of the story here: these guys rule and do great work.
